Boston Venues: Paradise Rock Club

Last night, we were fortunate enough to see Mogwai at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts. We have seen several shows at this venue, including Yo La Tengo and Sonic Boom. With a 933 person capacity, Paradise Rock Club is an intimate venue with an upper and lower viewing area, seating upstairs, and beverage service on both levels. So many bands have played at this venue, so it really feels like you’re part of music history when you see a show here.

I have always had great seats and ADA accommodation at Paradise Rock Club. The club itself is on street level, and they seat you right by the stage. Even with a packed house last night, we were comfortable and had space. Getting in and out to use the restroom can be tricky, but the staff was there to help you get through the crowd and back to your seat.

The location is convenient to the train, and there are plenty of spaces nearby with parking reservation companies like SpotHero. There are plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance, too. Last night, we tried Gopchang Story, a Korean BBQ place, which is right next door. The food was plentiful and delicious, and we split a bottle of soju. It was the perfect meal before our show.

My husband and I both have enjoyed every show at Paradise Rock Club, and it has become one of our favorite venues in Boston. I do recommend getting in line early for the best views as the venue does fill up quickly. If you’re short like I am, you definitely want to be up close so you can see! The sound is fantastic, the staff are helpful and kind, and they always keep the show running smoothly. So, check out their upcoming shows and go have a fun night out!
