Driving the Golden Circle

Another one of our driving videos is up and you can watch it here! A lot of people say to skip the Golden Circle if you’re short on time, but I tend to disagree. While it may not be as dramatic, the Golden Circle has a pastoral charm that I really enjoyed. Besides the big stops of Gullfoss, Geysir, Kerid Crater, and Thingvellir, the Golden Circle has rolling hills, horses, sheep, and multiple waterfalls. It’s easy to drive, and it was all fairly accessible.

Strokkur as it erupts

When I planned our trip, I was unsure what to expect condition-wise on the road to Brúarfoss. Google gave me a few different answers, but this video will show you exactly what to expect: a long dirt road that’s not difficult and leads to a nice parking lot. You’ll also see more of what driving in the Golden Circle is like. Even if you’re not planning a trip to Iceland, you can still enjoy these relaxing driving videos.

Take care, everyone and safe travels this weekend!
