Iceland

Iceland is a unique country to visit for a lot of reasons. The scenery is so dramatic, so beautiful it doesn’t even seem real. My husband and I laughed a lot during our twelve day trip, joking that we could see the green screen because there is no way one island can be home to such diverse landscapes. From mountains to oceans, bubbling mud flats to rolling moss fields, Iceland will delight you at every turn.

The weather is another unique factor in Iceland. Warm sun, driving sleet, snow, wind, rain, Iceland has it all. If you love geology, you will be intrigued by not only the active volcanic areas, but also the old volcanic areas where you can see the lava formations. The Icelandic people are lovely, and we found so many foods we enjoyed. Combine all of these things, and you, too, will come home dreaming of your next trip to Iceland.

In this series, we will talk about how I planned my trip, how we saved money, what we did, and what we learned about visiting Iceland.
