SIX the Musical: The Company Theatre

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting The Company Theatre this past weekend to see SIX The Musical directed and choreographed by Brian Reinking. My daughter asked me months ago to get tickets, and at the time, I didn’t know much about the musical. In this fun musical, the six wives of Henry VIII sing their way through an historical remix where they tell their version of events and discover their own voices hold power. It is a fun, lively, interactive, heart-breaking, and empowering show. We saw the Aragon Cast on stage, and these actors nailed their performances. I was sad that all the shows are sold out because I would have loved to see it again. I loved the costumes, I loved the dancing, and I loved the personalities of each actor. No photography is allowed, but I was honestly too engrossed in the show to take pictures!

Great seats at The Company Theatre. Watching the band was an added fun bonus to the show!

The theater itself is located in Norwell, Massachusetts, south of Boston. The theater has ample free parking in a lot and along the street. The entrance has stairs; however, they also offer a very nice accessible entrance at street level with a corridor directly to the seating. This theater is incredibly inclusive, and I loved that about it. The seats are comfortable, the sound quality is clear and loud, and there are not too many seats inside. Every seat had a great view and felt intimate. This show had so much audience participation, you really felt like you were interacting with the characters! The theater also offers concessions such as soda, water, candy, fresh popcorn, and other treats at reasonable prices.

I challenge you to find a local theater production and attend! Supporting the arts in stressful times is so important. We need art to express fears, our loves, our hopes, and to connect as humans to one another. I encourage you to support the institutions you love, such as museums, libraries, theaters, performing arts centers, and any others that bring your heart joy. By attending local events and supporting your favorite institutions, you also support your own community!
