The latest video of our Icelandic adventure is out. We begin Day 6 in Höfn, grab some gas, behold a full rainbow while giving the car a safety check, then head East. This video is mostly just driving. You’ll see some possible whooper swans (I think!), one lane bridges, waterfalls, towering hills, and crashing waves.
We had a beautiful day to explore the Eastfjords. The road twists and turns along the coast. On one side you’ve got the results of the awesome power of volcanic eruptions with rocky hills looming above you. On the other side, you’ve got the sea, crashing waves and endless glittering water. I think the East was much more scenic than the south coast if you’ve got time to drive the whole Ring Road. This day was my husband’s favorite of our entire trip.
This video takes us a short way into our journey, but you will see the scenery change very quickly. Sit back, relax, and chill with us as we begin to explore East Iceland.
