The second half of our day 2 in Iceland video is out and ready to view! This one is fairly short, and it shows our drive through another portion of the Golden Circle. We had left Reykjavik that morning, and this was our first experience of just being out in Iceland. At the point where we stopped to take some photos, I started crying because it was just so unreal that I was witnessing this spectacular view with my own eyes. I’ve been lucky enough to see some really beautiful places in my lifetime, but Iceland wins the prize.
I loved our days on the Golden Circle, and the next video will take us to the other well-known spots such as Gulfoss and Kerið Crater. I would say if you’re planning a trip similar to ours that you do the Golden Circle first. While it is stunning for sure, it just can’t compete with some of the scenery you’ll find on the Ring Road just an hour or so away. Be sure to keep a look out for those videos on the horizon.
